If your exercise program is walking at 4km/h on a treadmill or you need a fancy computer to tell you how much it thinks you should do then maybe this is not for you. For most general exercise enthusiasts, fitness efforts usually involve using low intensity weight training movements with poor muscle recruitment, poor need for muscular or joint stability, and poor core stimulation. Just think about what you see in the majority of gyms: riding the elliptical for 20 minutes, cruising around the circuit room using every machine for three sets of ten, then possibly over to the lower end of the dumbbell rack for a few bicep curls and side bends. Humans are lazy by nature and continue to invent stuff to make things easier. And in fitness its also the same. The higher the technology the lower the performance output - ie Doing cardio on the latest wellness technology gimmick will never yield the results, coordination, muscular and environmental adaptations that a good old fashion cross country run outdoors and up stairs can give. A 20 minute kettlebell workout will smash and tone every muscle in your body and burn more calories than an hour on the treadly, and it’ll hit you harder all over too.. your metabolism and nervous system will get kicked into overdrive and you’ll still feel the effects for days after! Whereas your run will only get you a minor leg pump for a few hours with little or no new motor pattern recruitment or additional calories expended.
With the only International Certified Kettlebell Instructor in Shanghai (and one of two in all of mainland China) and backed by world renowned IKFF (International Kettlebell Fitness Federation) the CKC will host classes, workshops, competitions and all things relating to kettlebell and other hardstyle training.
